This image of a bald eagle in flight was taken by Julie Edmonds. Julie lives next to Joe Hall Creek and has been a long time neighbor and friend. Along with being a camera buff she is an avid bird watcher. She and her husband Dan are participants in the aquatic restoration project on the creek. Since the stream restoration project has started she has spotted numerous rare and exotic bird species in the riparian zone and sky near her house. She can be contacted at doxies at tymewyse.com.
Her comments on the image..."One of our many rewards for the creek rehab...........the king of raptors saying thank you!
I've noticed this large eagle here at Singing Falls the last few days. It is a sure sign the salmon have begun to run. Many of the large fish have been spotted on Elk Creek (our watershed main stem). Hopefully we'll get some pictures of them soon.
