Spring is springing

Today is equinox. I have two apple trees being planted with two figs and two more apples on the way from the nursery. I have my concord grape slips cut and ready to be installed also I'm planning on about 30 vines.

Last week I finished planting in the riparian zone. 50 Pacific Dogwoods trees and 50 Blue Elderberry trees are now nice and cozy in the ground.

The Pacific Decadel Oscillation is still in the negative and La Nina conditions are just slightly edging toward neutral at the equator. Could be a long cold wet Spring.

I have signed up for the PNW Biochar email list on google groups. Very interesting bunch of folks. Hoping to learn as much as I can.

Looking forward to Pesaq in a month. Always a highlight of my year.

Purchased a 1995 Toyota 4x4 Diesel to replace the Isuzu pup. It seems to be running very well and good mileage. Potential for bio-fuel with this one.

The usual array of meetings this month. Forest Council, Watershed Council, Local Non-Profit, etc. etc.

Hoping to get back on the barn for finishing touches this week also.

Last but not least. We're done with lambing season. Very healthy crop this year. We are grateful to the Lord for this. Kidding season is up next. Baby angoras and a couple of dairy goat kids on the way
